This place is hole in the wall! Beautiful story of a Filipino couple who named their business of cakes and ice cream after their elder daughter “Marley”. They started just before Covid in Feb 2020 which must be tough. So, coming to what all they serve..We tasted all the ice cream flavors as one made with purple yam, one was Asian vanilla, honey due and so forth. I have never had such fresh and unique flavors of ice creams. They have a huge variety of cakes and cupcakes as well. The price is reasonable and all flavors are awesome. They take orders for parties as well. Must try and do support new entrepreneurs!

Wonderful selection to highlight a great Women owned business! They just celebrated their one year anniversary, and a great new addition to the East Bay. Located in a busy part of Downtown Hayward, close to the Lucky’s Supermarket, a trendy Filipino Fusion bakery. Lots of street parking and two story parking lot across the street. Get there early for an outstanding assortment of treats. They have unique offerings from ube cupcakes, to ube ice cream, and ube milkshakes. They are highly skilled caters and also provide masterful wedding cakes!
The sampler pack featured the following: From the top left: banana cream pudding. Creamy, smooth with slices of fresh banana and cookie crumble. Ube Flandesal: ube pastry with flan filling. Ube cupcake: frosting not too sweet, and moist, chocolate tasting cake. Flan ube cheesecake: Such a tasty combination!

The butter cream frosting on the cupcake was delicious. It was terribly hard to get past the very real taste of food dye coloring. Strong pass.

Terrible customer service.

I had heard good things about this place so my wife and I were excited to get our daughters birthday cake made here.

The 3 of us, my daughter, my wife and I were able to take time out of our day to drive to this store to order a birthday cake for my daughter.

Unfortunately, when we arrived the cashier said she could not take our order and the baker, who normally takes the orders, was in the back and refused to come out to speak with us.

Even though the 3 of us made the effort to drive to the store, the baker did not have the courtesy to come out front and speak with us. There were no other customers in the shop when we were there.

I understand you are baker and you need to make cakes, but if you can’t take a 5 minute break or ask us to wait 5-10 minutes to speak with us to take a new order, you should not be in this business.

Total let down.

Talk about Ube overlaod!!! I love everything and anything involving Ube. Marley’s Treats is nothing short of phenomenal!!! Hands down the best Ube desserts ever! This spot has to be on one of the places to visit and stop, especially if you are an Ube fanatic! It’s conveniently located in Downtown Hayward just off of B Street.

Now, if Gemma can just move shop down to LA or possibly open a second location just a thought lol ‍♂️

Best ice cream I’ve ever had! The Cookie Flanster ice cream and the snickerdoodle cookie are just incredible. Their flan is amazing!

Unique and near addicting treats! Hands down my favorite is the ube cupcake. Apparently I haven’t had a good cupcake in a long time because I could not believe it when I took my first bite. I rarely have the desire to finish a whole cupcake myself but I almost did not stop. I’m not usually a frosting person but I wanted to lick it all off! The cupcake part was moist, still a bit warm and such a perfect pairing with the frosting. I love how the cake was not sweeten much so you get majority of the flavor from the frosting and mouthwatering texture from the cake.

A very close second favorite is the flanana. So delicious, smooth and comfy! The balance of flavors and sweetness was just right. I loved the chunks of banana in the pudding and the sprinkles of stuff on top. Once again, I was supposed to share this dessert and almost downed it without control.

Small shop packed with personality! I highly recommend trying Marley’s treats! I will be back to try the shakes and more!

Found them attending the night market few years ago and made it a point to visit them each time. Ube shake and Ube rice crispy ice cream sandwich for the win. I’ve driven out to Hayward to get my fix a few times, ube shake is a must. I’ve started trying out thier cupcakes, so far the starwberry lychee which is amazing and chocolate banana Oreo (little on the sweet side). Haven’t had anything I didn’t like so far.

I’ve been to Marley’s twice now – both times for the shakes only. The first time was right after Covid restrictions took place and the line was long…I estimate it took about 40 minutes to get one shake from the time I got into line to the time the shake was in my hand. Today, there was only a pair of teens (2 people together) ahead of me. It still took 35 minutes to get my Oreo ube shake. Only the cashier was making the orders though there were 3-4 people in the back. When paying with a credit card and while the cashier is watching, I felt compelled to and did tip. There’s no option of “do you want to tip?” It’s automatic tip amounts with an option of “custom.” I’m happy to tip if my experience is good, but it’s bizarre to expect a tip at the get-go, then continue to wait and then leave half an hour later with one item considering there was no real “line” in front of me. I don’t see myself returning unless they add more staff or enhance their current non-existent process. The shake was good but not worth this type of time.

Ordered delivery from here and their pastries are an absolute delight for all Übe lovers. Though, I will admit the opening times for this place is sometimes hard to follow or pinpoint. So if you’re luck to catch them during opening then give them a try. The übe flan is very good, decadent. I will probably have more of their pastries, if I can actually catch them during times that they’re open.
